Tony — a special friendship since 1973

Tony became known for his restaurant Dai Cugini in Hasselt. The 2021 Made in article introduces his new restaurant, wine bar and shop Viva i Vini.

To me, Tony is first and foremost a very dear friend, since 1973. With his passion and hospitality, he brought a new dimension to Italian cuisine and made his restaurant a special meeting place.

Through him and the connections at his restaurant, I met many people, including architects, politicians and other well-known figures. He helped make my work known and opened doors that meant a great deal to me.

Dear Tony, thank you for your trust, your friendship and the place you have held in my life for so many years. This book is also a gesture of my gratitude to you.
